IEK Varis has completed its 3rd European Project, Leonardo Da Vinci, Initial Vocational Training-Mobility which was held in Spain, 3-16/4/2013. The 12 participants, five hairdressers and seven aestheticians, attended make-up and hairdressing workshops as well as Spanish language courses in Malaga. From 6 to 9 April the group visited the capital of Andaluc?a, Seville, where the trainees had the chance to visit the Cathedral, the famous Giralda tower, the Spanish Square with Maria Luisa?s Park and the Bullring. A technical visit also took place at Peluqueria MdV, Hairdresser?s and Beauty Center in Seville where the students were acquainted with traditional hair styles by Mrs Mayte. The project was enriched with a visit to the famous Andalusian Horse Show and a flamenco night. We all enjoyed the farewell dinner with typical Spanish tapas in Malaga and the closing ceremony at the Aztec Hair Academy organized by our host Helen Brady. The outcome of the evaluation showed that the trainees were fully satisfied by the project and met their expectations by 92%!!!
